Happy Mother's Day to me!!!

Had to work today, and have a nasty headache.

However!

Kathy and Garrett cleaned my kitchen, living room, and bathroom and worked on my screened porch!

The bad news is, a bird got in, and the cats killed it. Garrett buried it.

I can't WAIT to get home and see the house!

Somehow I have to get my mother's gift delivered to her - I really don't want to go by their house.

Ended up calling Mom to wish her Happy Mother's Day and spoke briefly to my Dad. I finally had the courage to tell him that I really don't feel comfortable coming to their house - that I have some problems with coming there, for a number of reasons, and that I promise to tell them when I'm ready and ask about coming, and that I don't like having to come up with excuses each time they ask me. I'm very proud of myself for managing this and am looking forward to telling my therapist I did it - we talked about the need to do it the last time I visited. I feel slightly sick at my stomach now, but it has been said, and it needed to be said, and I did it without falling completely apart.

My head, however, has taken a turn for the worse, so I'm really glad the day is almost over!


Yay clean house!

ETA: House looks great - wow they got a lot of trash pulled together and out! I'm SO thrilled!

Minor disgruntlement.

F. spent the day taking care of Mother's Day stuff at church. She did bring me a nice card this morning when she came to ask me if I had clothes that I was planning to part with that might be useful for one of the church Moms. Then she went and visited with her grandparents. When I came home, she was cleaning out her car and preparing to go spend the evening with her Aunt Bip and Bip's children. She did give me flowers sent over to me by my parents. Had I realized she wasn't going to be home, I would have stopped at IHOP for dinner. Hopefully something in the freezer will look appealing.

I do, however, have a wonderful looking house.
