I'm embarrassed to confess, I did not vote.
I planned to...
This morning I was far too tired to get up when Faeryn's alarm went off and she headed to the polls, and I planned to vote after I got off of work. I forgot, of course, that I had to go to be Book Room after the City. Once I remembered, I decided that I still would have time to vote, after all, I just had to go into the store, scan and email some paperwork to the owner, then I would be done and could go vote.
Then I got the option to interview someone at 6pm, who I knew would be perfect for the job. So, I figured, since the store is about 10 minutes from the polling place, I could interview her at 6, then get to the polls before 7 and be in line in time to vote.
Unfortunately, I did not get out of the store before 7; the interview ran long and my current employee had a dozen questions for me to deal with before I could leave.
I feel badly that I didn't vote. However, I admit that I'm so glad to have found the right employee for my store and to actually no longer have to work every blasted day of the week, that I can't feel but so bad.
Still, I should have voted :( It would have been important to Greg.
